With ESF Beta
1.2 released, the ESF source now re-enforces model locking making it
impossible for third-party mods to work.
Therefore, me and the
team members have decided to drop EEA completely, and I will now
concentrate on making official applications for the ESF Team.
Thanks to all the
people who helped make EEA and also to the fans for all their support.
Please remember that the title 'EEA' (and it's full form 'ESF Evolution
Addon') was a released product and is still copyrighted - so the title
cannot be used by any other team which may decide to venture in a similar
product.

WebGV.com is moving to a faster host with much more bandwidth. Because of
this transfer, the site and forums will be down for a maximum of 48 hours
following 28th April. We apologize for this inconvenience, but as stated
above, this is for the better.

We released EEA, very early (GMT time) on the 3rd of March. According to
our license, we are protected under national copyright laws and our
release also correspondes to the Data Protection Act of 1998 in the UK.
For further details on our standing as far as copyright is
concerned, please click here.
Every original content of the
ESF Evolution Addon qualifies under the above copyright law, and we will enforce any unauthorized [i.e.
without permission from the original author(s)] use or
distribution/publishment of EEA or the parts that make up EEA.
The
reason I am posting this news item, is because I was informed about a
recent usage of EEA's turbo boost in another modification (name ommitted) of ESF. As
long as the user-base of Earth's Special Forces (namely, fans and users of
ESF) use our content for personal use, they may make changes and mix/match
our content with other modifications. But the minute the other
modification uses any of our work in their public
release, and/or supports the use
of our work in their product, we will take action as the original
copyright holders. Although I hope that such a situation will never arise
in the future.

After a long period of development, ESF Evolution Addon releases it's first version (1.0)
to the public. I would personally like to thank all the team members who
have worked real hard, the beta testers who helped us find bugs, and all
the people responsible for making this release possible. And a special
thanks goes to CrackerJack and Shijing, who have been mass-producing
animations the past couple of days.
You can get EEA 1.0 from the
downloads page on the website.
On another note,
I have also ported the php code from the old design to this new design
created at 1:00 AM two nights ago. So we have a new webdesign to couple
our first release.
Regards, grOOvy -EEA CoLeader
P.S. - Please note that ALL comments related to the release and
the download should be restricted to this news post's thread.

As you all might have noticed, it's already past 1st March and EEA hasn't
released yet. The reason for this is clearly that we have discovered
problems with the Goku and Vegeta transformation animations.
CJ
and Shijing have been hard at work to fix these problems, and we are
definite that we will be in a state to release tomorrow (late 2nd, early
3rd March). Apart from this, all of our progress bars (modeling, coding,
skinning, animating are all at 100%).
With warm regards and
apologies from the team, grOOvy -EEA Coleader

My apologies for the forum downtime the past week. I sent tons of
complaints to Oktagone, and they have finally managed to sort out the
database problems.
With that said, we aren't anticipating any
future problems with the site or forums.

The EEA Team would formally like to wish all it's fans and supporters a
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
I will also take this
news post as an opportunity to let everyone know, that EEA is 99% coded
and most aspects of this modifications are complete... the only thing
holding us back from releasing is the fact that almost all of our models
are unskinned. As our models get skinned, we get closer and closer to our
release. There is no set release date, but I can genuinely state that the
team is working hard towards an early release.

The EEA forums had a recorded down-time from 2nd to early 5th November
2003. Nothing that a bit of fiddling with phpMyAdmin can't fix, so the
forums are back up now. ^_^
My apologies for the short abruption
of forum activities.
